With the diff repaired, I can proceed with the main assembly of my like new X-Ray. The next important part of this project are the bearings. The second race in the Hurricane series was at Victory RC located in Green Bay Wisconsin. It was about a 2 hour drive to get there and I arrived at 8pm. First came the setup. Well, fix up actually. I was able to confirm that my dad is going to the second all star series race. I was very happy to hear from him about that. I ran my 17.5 second round. The car felt as it always felt. I was complemented on how well I was driving and my times have improved from my first run. After my first run in qualifying I was able to get 22 laps in 5 minutes flat. There was one other that beat me and he got a 23 - 5:11 just edging me off in the final lap. Car feels good. the difference between traction and slipping is the amount of tire sauce you put on the tires. I clean my tires in tire sauce. A day of practice went without incedent. Actually, I did have a little issue with my diffs. I have always thought that my last change was a little too much with that rear diff. I felt the car was turning well and I was using that to get some good laptimes, but in the end, something kept telling me to check my rear diff again. The IIC pre race party was held at Pole Position Raceway in Las Vegas. I could not think of a better way to get all the racer warrmed up for the IIC than this party 60 racers arrived for this event and pizza was provided to all that attended. I was taking apart my car so that I can install the 13.5 when I happen to notice that my rear diff was a little tighter than I would like. But this is my setup. The Sizzler is shaping up to be quite a fun event after a resort in the first round.They took the drivers best 3 consecutive laps and resorted the second round from that information. So to Recap, I ended up 10th in the B main in Mini Cooper. Knota Ended up in the B Main in the Spec class. My main was a slow crawl to 7th overall as I fought and fought to gain positions over the field. At this point in time I have 3 different projects to work on as far as this TCS race is concerned. I have a TT-01 to get back running, I have the TA-05 to put back together after my slip up at the NOVAK race, and I have the Mini to put back together with all the new bling equipment. TA05 Trans-Am work continues. I'm left back where I have started. The front tires bind on the chassis of my TA05 and to fix it, I need to replace the A-arms, steering knuckles and C-Hub carriers in the font. I asked around for advice after my second round of qualifying. Dave and Ryan Pratl were very helpful in getting me in the right direction for setup. Since I spent so much time setting up my car during the practice rounds, I thought that I would be a little more ready than I was for the first round of qualifying. After getting off the plane and getting my pit set up, I was too tired to do anything to my car. I was also a little sick from the plane ride. The next day I missed the first practice round because I couldn't get myself together enough to run. I had to put together my race body, change out the motor, and charge my battery before my run.
